More finishes! (small but cute!)

This one is Bearing Fruits Santa 1993 by Homespun Elegance. It was a kit given to me by my friend Diane (diadsie to some). She gave me 3 or 4 of these kits. This is the 3rd one I have finished. I just need to back it, stuff it and make the cording.

This one was another that I stitched in memory of my friend Rene (Grannyrusk). She loved small designs and Just Nan. This teeny one is called Creepy Crawly from the Just For Nan series by Charland Designs Inc. I finished it about a month ago but had to put clear nail polish on the charm so it wouldn't tarnish.

Update on the citrus pillow

Been working on Lemons Limes and More for the past couple of nights. I finally have a progress pic that will show some work.

Little Tribute finish

I stitched this little one in memory of Rene Rusk. She loved small designs and also Just Nan. Missing her lots!

I CANT WAIT

As you can see above, the days are counting down. I have been counting one day sooner than the counter since I will be flying to Ft. Lauderdale on Thurs and that is one day sooner of getting away from here!

I was debating on what stitching projects to take with me but when I looked in my project bag that I take to work I found that I have about 5 different small projects in there all ready! I will double check that all the fibers are there along with extra needles of course.

I'm over stressed and under pressure and really need this cruise!

Second one almost done!

Here is Speedy and Betty. I lost my sister about 12 yrs ago. She loved Betty Boop and had a tattoo of her on her shin. She used to buy me Speedy Gonzalez things because my father's last name is Gonzalez. She also called me her Seeeester. I did this one for her. I forgot to bring her letter with the "Seeeester" signature so I will go back some time after my cruise and have that added to the bottom.

New tattoo OUCH!

Had my anklet done last night. Boy did it hurt! My other one didn't hurt at all so I'm thinking that I had to play 2 fold for that lol

I have the male/female symbols for each kid, my eagles charm and 1/2 of a best friend charm.

I'm scheduled to get my other one in two weeks. This one will be on my calf and should be even 1/2 as bad as the ankle.

New Year's Challenge finished

Did my annual New Year's Challenge with one of my xs groups. I purposely chose a small piece to make sure I would get it done. Here he is:

This is Snow by Little River. It was a freebie and barely fit on the towel (the bottom row didn't fit) I still think it turned out pretty cute.

One more done out of my "to be finished" box.

I just finished framing this little guy tonight. I stitched it up last year and found this frame when shopping during a 1/2 off frame sale at Michaels. I like that the frame hangs by a ribbon :)

I'm on a roll

When I was looking for the link for the last project posted I came across two cute ones that I printed and kitted quick. Who knew how quick....I just finished I'm Wicked in a little over an hour.

This one is by Stitches N Stones. It called for GAST, Crescent Colours, Carrie's Creation or DMC. Of course I went and chose my own and used Six Strand Sweets. I used Blackberry Cordial, Wintergreen, Guava, Lemonade, DMC white and black. It is stitched on 28ct evenweave. The pic doesn't show it so well but the fabric is a very light mint green.

I'm still not sure what I'm going to finish it as but I'm sure I will come up with something :)

A Tiny Finish

I actually forgot I started this little guy. This one is by Vivian Bales. It was originally a freebie on http://www.stitchesnstones.com/ but I looked and it isn't there anymore. I found Vivian Bales' site: http://www.nn.dlpgraphics.ca/blog/

I stitched this on 18ct fiddler's cloth with DMC and threads by Free Spirit Designs (no longer in production). I mounted it on a piece of stiffened felt.

I really think this is perfect for the freezing weather righ now :)

Halloween all framed

I waited for a sale at Michaels and had them frame Halloween. Even at 57% off it was still expensive. I think for now on I will have my boyfriend make the frames and I can stretch and frame them myself. If needed I can foot the bill for a nice mat where needed. Here is the pic :)

I had my mother make my Contest Sampler into a wall hanging. Here is the final pic :)

I finished the contest sampler by Wiehenburg Samplers. They will do the voting in December.

It will be finished as a wall hanging. I should have a picture of that tomorrow.

I used Vikki Clayton silks and GAST and some Kreinik. The butterfly bodies were done with DMC Perle and Kreinik.

Update on Contest piece

Been stitching while it is slow at work. Here is a progress pic :) I actually have a little more done but took the pic before I changed the position of the qsnaps. Stay tuned.....

Been Stitchin'!

My friend Gina and I have been sitting out on the back deck and watching Stargate on my laptop since last week. This is a good thing cause if my laptop is playing movies I can't be stuck on facebook apps LOL I decided to pull out some stitching! Here are some progress pics.

This is Picasso's Rooster by Lady Bug Lane. I'm doing this for my mom. I thought it was going to be a quick stitch but I think my confidence got the better of me on this one cause I keep on miscounting! Now I have to get some tape to get that faint blue line out because it was supposed to be yellow!







Have an orange or tangarine started on Lemons Limes and More by Vermillion! Also worked a bunch on the leaves.













Almost done Christmas Word Tree by M Designs. Just a few more letters to go.

A Stiching tip......Beeswax works better on Rayon, Thread Heaven works better on silk.



I also have been stitching on my Contest Sampler but have to take a pic at work tonight.
