NO - He didn't come with a saddle!

Wanted to introduce you all to the lastest member of our family. His name is Atreyu. The name comes from the movie The Neverending Story. He is a Fila Brasiliero or Brazilian Mastiff. Right now he is just a pup at about 6 months. He was found wondering the streets not too far from my house and we couldn't find the owner. The first night I found that I wouldn't have returned him anyway. There are major indications of abuse. He has a new scar on the back of his neck and it looks like it is from being tied up with a collar that was too small. He also flinches at just about any movement. He is very well mannered, especially for such a young guy. He is house trained and doesn't drag us down the street when we walk him. My 8yo can actually walk him with no problem. I'm breaking him of eating trash so we empty the bag every night and he also likes the cats food so we have to watch that and pick it up. He has gotten very playful the past two days and even picked out a new toy at Petsmart today all on his own. We weighed him today and he is a hefty 81.5 lbs! He is only about 1/2 of his full grown size so I have a feeling that I'm going to need a bigger house very soon LOL Hmmmm, he must be sleeping...I can hear him snoring LOL Oh and as you can see from the pic....he has a drooling problem after drinking. We have been mopping the floor up alot and he has his own towel. I just tell him "Come here and clean your face" and he comes over and lets me dry him.

He's a pretty lucky guy to have found someone that will love and take care of him! I understand why you named him like you did! :)
